Fixing HeartsYou know what I want to do?
I want to shove my hand into your chest, between the ribs, you know, and feel my fingers rummage through your blood and flesh, and tissues that I do not even know the names of.
I want to find that placid heart, so still it is in its loveless hardly-beating. I want to feel it in my hand, the soft mush of the sponge, nearly oozing between my knuckles.
